Community Chevrolet is a new/used car dealership located in Burbank, CA and family owned for over 60 years. We have a huge passion for all cars especially collector cars of all makes and models. We want to share our passion for the automobile by offering for sale some of our select favorite vehicles. This 1957 Chevrolet Nomad Restomod is absolutely stunning and one of the nicest we have ever seen! Top to bottom the attention to detail and quality is amazing with all of the best equipment utilized in this build.  The Turquoise paint really pops against all exterior chrome trim. All of the bumpers, glass, stainless trim and components are high quality in our opinion. Look at the attention to detail from pics of rear tailgate area which is a chronic weak spot for most Nomads. This one is a serious work of art and a pleasure to drive with all the modern luxuries.
Powertrain:
Powered by a new Chevrolet Performance 350 Ram Jet fuel injected crate motor rated at 345hp with nice cosmetic upgrades and Hedman headers.  Features an Eddie Motorsports S drive serpentine belt drive system with polished brackets and pulleys. Charging provided by a Powermaster alternator and Powermaster gear reduction starter for reliable engine cranking.  Cooling provided by a PRC polished  high flow radiator with dual cooling fans. Did we mention Eddie Motorsports hood hinges? Another nice touch and not cheap!!  A Magnaflow dual exhaust system with cross over pipe runs complete to the rear of the vehicle and is wrapped with heat resistant tape the length of the system.  A 4L60 automatic transmission with overdrive provides nice low rpm cruising and highway speeds.  The rear end is the factory original style housing but upgrades to a posi-trac system.  The attention to detail under the hood and undercarriage is top notch as you can see from the pictures.  The vehicles runs out nicely in town and on the highway with only 600+ miles on the odometer since the build was complete.  We have put about 300 of those miles on it and enjoyed cruising it in town and on the highway.
Suspension/Brakes/Steering:
So many nice upgrades here!  A Flaming River power rack & pinion steering system provides easy turning at a fingertip and modern ease.  The front suspension features Ridetech Strong Arm upper and lower control arms with adjustable coilover shocks.  A Ridetech front sway bar adds to the performance and handling.  The rear suspension is a Ridetech triangulated 4 bar system with coil over shocks.  The system is set up nicely and designed specifically for the 55-57 Chevy's.  Braking is provided by Wilwood products featuring a Wilwood master cylinder, brake calipers and 12" slotted rotors.  This vehicle even features a E-STOPP electric power brake system which reflects the extra efforts and quality put in this build. The Foose Chrome wheels feature 17" front and 18" rear diameters and fit snuggly in the rear. We have noticed some slight rubbing from the right rear when turning at low speed and probably needs to go to a 17" in the rear.  No damage is present but we will let the new owner decide if he wants to change the tire/wheel combination.
Interior:
Amazing interior done using Ron Magnus custom high quality leather and the Beige/Tan color combination that offsets the Turquoise exterior nicely.  Reinforced seat backs and extra contoured padding makes for comfort on short or long drives.  Square weave highly quality carpet and fit is incredible on all door panels and in the cargo area with a custom access panel in rear for battery. Just look at pics and say no more! All interior chrome and headliner trim strips are excellent.  A Vintage Air System provides nice climate control and a Chrome tilt wheel with Billet steering wheel.  Modern HDX Dakota digital gauges provide accurate readings for all the vital systems along with upgraded clock matching the system. Lokar brake and gas pedal components provided and an upgraded stereo with USB. We don't believe speakers were added to the system and have not been able to locate at this time. The rear tailgate opens with ease with new retractable cables and upgraded rear strut shocks.  If you look at pics of detail of inner tailgate latches, hinges, etc you can see this is a quality car.  Anyone who has had a NOMAD knows this is a weak point on most of them.
Exterior:
Mind blowing the quality of the paint and trim.  The trim plate shows paint code 809D but our notes from previous owner describe paint as Artesian Turquoise which is stunning and glows in the day or night offset nicely will all the chrome trim. All of the chrome trim from bumpers, grille, side mouldings, window trim our high quality and consistent across the entire vehicle including the tailgate rear trim. This can be a costly area of a Nomad restoration just trying to find the parts and those without pitting or dents.  This is one of the best we have seen. All door jambs ,hinges and tailgate areas are clean with no overspray or cutting corners.
Undercarriage/Misc:
You can tell a quality restoration by the level of attention top to bottom and we love a car this clean underneath (see pics).  The frame appears to have been powder coated and painted in a highly quality gloss paint.  You can see in the inner front/rear fender wells the attention to detail from each bolt to how the wiring was routed using an American Autowire system.  All the fuel lines running along the inner frame rail from the tank to electric fuel pump to the motor are nicely routed using quality components. A light spray on bedliner undercoating type of material  is applied to the body undercarriage to protect the panels and provide sound deadening nicely done.  The Optima Battery is mounted nicely in the spare tire compartment in the rear cargo area with a custom access panel nicely done and a on/off switch mounted under the rear of frame.  This is an impressive car and as a person who's first car was 1956 Nomad owned for 25 years one of the nicest top overall NOMADS around in our opinion.  The pictures show the detail but glad to show the vehicle to a serious party with a serious offer.  Comes with a packet with several manuals and instructions from the manufacturers of the parts installed on this car.  The vehicle is currently title in CA with a clear title in our name.

Again, vehicles are sold AS-IS just like at the major auctions with no guaranties or warranties just like when we have to purchase the vehicle from a private party, auction or outside source.
