Mint Error: Missing Edge Lettering
NGC MS66
A very rare issue as a circulation strike. Most of the missing edge lettering varieties for 2007 are Satin Finish coins. Beautiful amber golden patina. Pop 21 with 1 finer at NGC. PCGS has graded zero.
Because the mint forgot to run the coin through the edge lettering machine, there is no date or mint mark. There have been several instances of these edge lettering errors on the golden dollars, starting in 2007.
